Schedule

So far I have decided to use this site as a display of current information regarding my search and savings toward a 2005 Ford Mustang GT. I will try to continue posting on a weekly basis. That means I will update the page every Sunday evening. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy the ride.

Ending the blog

The original story I was telling is at an end and I have not gotten much feedback. I will keep this page up in case you want to add any and will also post a link to my youtube channel if I make one. Otherwise I will just post directly to the forums on "reddit.com/r/mustang". Thank you to the people who followed and have a great day!

My Dream Car

It is with great happiness that I let you all know that I have purchased my dream car from a dealer nearby. I have yet to find any problems with it. I have been having troubles learning manual on it but am slowly getting the hang of it. Soon enough I should be doing everything pretty well. Thanks for following thus far. At some point in the future I may create a youtube channel out of it and just show the channel around the car to start, go to car meets, mod the car, etc. After I pay off my loan would most likely be the best time for this. Thanks again for following and I will hopefully find something to do for you guys besides showing off my new toy next week.

Possibilities Afoot

It is with great joy that I announce the possibility of a purchase soon. I have been talking with a guy that is not too far away who has a very nice looking 2006 ford mustang gt in which I am very much wanting at the moment. I have talked him down to a reasonable price and will be going down to see the car tomorrow. It looks great with fog light covers and black paint as well as str racing wheels which are extremely expensive if you don't already know. The problem with it is that the throw out bearing may need to be replaced. The throw out bearing is attached to the slave cylinder connecting between the transmission and the engine's crankshaft. It is not a serious problem in the sense of the word but it will be something that might need a bit of work. If that is the only problem with the car though I will definitely buy it for a good price. I am excited to see what comes of this and hope that I will see as beautiful of a 'stang as that one sitting in my driveway in the near future. I will post on tuesday or wednesday if I get the car and I will also post pictures. Thanks for following guys.

Ford and their continued legacy

For this sunday, May 17th, I felt the need to do something different. That being said I still want to update you on where I am at. I have spoken with a dealership not to far from me about a mustang that they have and it ended with what seemed to be nothing good out of the deal as they were asking too much and trying to talk me into it with all of their techniques. I decided to be smart about it and back off, however it is a beautiful car and I really want it. I am just sitting back at the moment hoping they get antsy to sell it and bring down the price. I am showing no further interest currently in hopes to get the price as low as possible. That being my update I wanted to talk a bit about why I really love these cars.

My love for mustangs became almost naturally as I have been raised with many ford vehicles and a passion for them running in the family. I wouldn't necessarily say that my family is full of car enthusiasts but they are indeed fans of the cars that they bought and have had nothing but good experiences. I guess you could say that my grandfather was the root of all of this. He started working at Ford around the age of 20 and worked there for nearly 50 years. Still to this day he enjoys talking about different funny stories or events happened while he was working there, including a story of his first experience driving a Ford Taurus SHO. I can't recall exactly what car he beat but he said that he was just laughing at the victim's reaction. Over the years these stories coupled with the cool cars that we own I have just followed ford and become a fairly large enthusiast. The mustang is the enthusiast car of the lineup and from that and riding in a cousin's mustang I gained the love that I have today.

Closing deals

I have recently run into a couple of good deals on exactly the car I am looking for, however it has not worked out yet. The most recent is one that was in a dodge dealership not to far away from my town but it seems as though I have been outbid by someone else. I was told that there might be a chance of the deal falling through and that I would be notified whether or not that did occur. I am just sitting around waiting for the right one to come across and maybe it will be soon. I will keep you guys updated every sunday as well as I will bring more updates in the coming weeks if I start making a deal with someone on a vehicle. I am still stumped about why it is so hard to find what I want but I guess it will be worth the wait. That is all that I can update you guys on though and as always thank you and feel free to comment whenever about whatever you would like me to elaborate on.

Dream Car not yet found, Why don't they have any other color than silver?

Hey guys this update should be a bit more of a positive one as I have again re-assessed my options and found my way back to the mustang. The reason being is that I found some cars for around 11k and was able to talk them down to 9800 and 9400 respectively. This was very entertaining for me and I might continue to do it however it is also not very good to be wasting other people's time. Moving on though I recently had to take the ACT and I am in the middle of what is considered by me Junior year Hell and the goblet of tests. I have taken two major tests in the past two weeks and I have two more major tests in the next two weeks. This has been stressing me out and is in general added to my frustration of wanting summer to come sooner. The moral of this story, as I am hoping, is that I will be rewarded for all of this hard work both in saving and in my school work. Who knows though I could be waiting for my dream car through this summer but as long as it is just that, my dream car, I am perfectly happy with waiting.

The discouraging search continues.

This past week has been a little less inviting as far as my search goes. I have not only been having trouble finding any hopeful deals but I am also having second thoughts as most people do in this stage. I have been doing tons of research and finding more and more problems with the 2005 ford mustang gt. While at first I knew that the automatic transmission wasn't that good I was ok with that as I would only get a manual. There are people that I have found complaining about their manual transmissions whether it be the shifter being impossible to put into first or if it goes out completely. Overall this is not very fun to hear. I of course have heard of fords problems in their cars past but I have always been such a big fan that it may have blinded me. I really need some assurance on whether it is smart for me to get my dream car and I don't know exactly where to find it as most people are biased in one way or another. Hopefully I can find answers or a solution to these problems. Worst case I go with my gut and avoid these, maybe get a Mazdaspeed 3 and wait until I have a good enough job to get a newer mustang as I know that ford is good with their cars of today. Overall I am feeling very conflicted at the moment and I am unsure of what will happen in the future. Thanks again for following and I would welcome any advice from anyone.
